UnKnot Design started from a simple idea to reuse my own climbing gear. This is my story.

After my bachelor in microbiology I decided to stay in school to study entrepreneurship. The freedom of having my business had always been a great incentive. 

In late 2019, I started climbing and, as it happens to a lot of newcomers, I fell in love with it on the spot. In 2023, I started a certification on something called Lean Management training. The course was mostly about eliminating waste in business, like time and ressources. I then started to notice it in my daily live too. 

It was during this time that I needed some new climbing gear. Right before throwing away my old climbing shoes I wondered if there was any part of it that was still usefull. After a few days, the question ended up morphing into : what if I could repurpose most of the climbing gear that is unusable?

And here we are.
